The 13th edition of the annual Kabaka Birthday Run has once again drawn massive crowds to Lubiri-Mengo, solidifying its status as one of Uganda's premier sporting and social events. This year’s run, held in honor of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s 71st birthday, continues its long-standing tradition of leveraging mass participation to address critical health challenges.

Central to this year’s event is a powerful call to action focused on the fight against HIV/AIDS and the protection of the girl child. The campaign specifically challenges men to lead by example, encouraging regular testing and responsible behavior to create a healthier future for all.

"This year’s run aligns with the global goal of ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030," stated official organizers, emphasizing the urgency of the movement. As thousands of runners navigate the course, the event serves as a testament to the community's dedication to these life-saving causes.
